A Message to the Class of 2017

Goodbye lovelies,

Today, we say farewell and good luck to many talented and invaluable members of our theatre family here at the College. The Center Stage Board would like to congratulate each and every one of you and wish you all the best. We also want to express our gratitude to those who have contributed so much time, effort, passion, creativity, and talent to this organization. You have produced unforgettable art with us during your time here. Your designs have been striking and creative. Your performances have been moving and honest. Your artistry has pushed boundaries in ways never seen before. Thank you for making theatre happen for the students, by the students.

J.K. Rowling once wrote, "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." Growing up, we are told by family members and teachers to always "dream big." As you graduates cross the Cistern and close this chapter of your lives, you have the opportunity to go out and live your dreams, rather than dwell on them. Theatre has an indescribable way of bringing people together. You may be leaving the College, but you will always be a part of this family. Do not let fear of the unknown hold you back. Be the amazing artists you are and continue to push yourselves. Make mistakes and learn from them. Have the time of your life and never forget how unstoppable you are. Good luck, break a leg. We love you!

- Gibson Carter, President of Center Stage
